Sandra Kay Lael (Selvio), 77 of New Palestine passed away on Monday February 1, 2021 at home with family.
She was born 11-14-1943, in Phoenix, Az. to the late Michael J. and Betty J. Selvio.
Sandra grew up in Logansport, In. and graduated from High School there in June of 1961.
For most of her working life, 1979-2004, Sandra was employed at Naval Avionics, (Raytheon, GM Hughes) in Indianapolis as a technician and received several commendations for outstanding work.
Sandra was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister in law.
Her greatest joy was being involved with her grandchildren, whom she showered with affection.
Sandra was fearless all around type girl. She loved the countless deep-sea fishing trips in the Florida Keys with family and could hold her own with home remodeling.
Sandra suffered from COPD for the last 18 yrs of her life and maintained her relationships through fierce personal determination and fought on to the very end.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband of over 39 yrs, Jeremiah J. Lael; daughter, Catherine (David) Vance; son Rod (Debbie) Selvio; step-daughter, Monica (Scott) Farmer; grandsons, Lee Selvio, Chris Selvio, Brad Vance, Nick Vance, EJ Farmer; and granddaughter, Mikenzie Farmer.
A private graveside service will be held at Washington Park East Cemetery on Thursday February 11th.
