Sandra Kay Kerns

Sandra Kay Nolan Russell Kerns was born on June 13, 1943 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She passed away on January 30th, 2020 in Fishers, Indiana. She died peacefully in her home. Preceded in death were her parents, Jerry and Louise Nolan. Surviving immediate family members include Kristen (daughter) and husband Chris, Jason (son) and wife Heather, Jon (stepson) and wife Michelle, Kent Kerns (husband), sister Cyndi and husband Jim, and grandchildren, Dalton, Nolan, Gordon, Kelsey, Caleb, Kayetlin and William.

Sandi was an entrepreneur and an influential interior designer for over 25 years. Her company, SR Kerns Design, created designs for show homes, athletes and more. Before opening her own company, she worked in the construction industry for Paul Estridge and before that FC Tucker and AHM Graves where she met her husband of 41 years, Kent. Sandi loved her husband, family, traveling, movies, gardening, antiquing, and her golden retrievers.

Every time we see beauty in the world from a painting to the opening of a flower we will think of her and feel love.

A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held Tuesday, February 4th, 1:00pm, at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250.
