Sandra D. Rozens, 82, passed away on May 1, 2023.
She was born on December 12, 1940, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Claude and Mary Gann.
Graduating Ben Davis Highschool in 1959, she pursued work as a clerical secretary in Speedway Indiana. Sandy loved gardening and kept her yard showpiece-ready through every season of the year.
December 4th, 1964, she married the love of her life Edmund; they remained together for 50 years, just 13 days before his passing on December 17th, 2014. On January 6th, 1981 Sandra accepted position in MSD Wayne Township at Stout Field Elementary where she held the title of “Kindergarten Interventionist” working with reading programs, helping students advance their reading abilities.
Sandy held this position for 32 years until June 30th, of 2013. Her decision of retirement was necessary as husband Edmund required special attention due to his failing health.
She is survived by her six (6) children. Brothers: Michael, Brett, Eric, Aaron, Ian and Brady Rozens; providing her 12 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Claude & Mary Gann, husband Edmund, daughter Anjanette, sister Rosemary and brother Jimmy.
Visitation: (4pm family) 5pm – 8pm Wednesday, May 10th , 2023 at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park Service: 2pm Thursday, May 11th, 2023 at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until time of service. Address: 9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46229 with burial to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
