Sammy Christopher George

Sammy “Chris” Christopher George, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on December 10, 2022, at the age of 55. Chris was born in Indianapolis, IN on July 13, 1967, to parents, Sammy and Zula (Stilz) George.  He graduated from Franklin Central High School. Chris owned and operated George Lawn Service. He was a member of Bluff Baptist Church. Chris was incredibly involved in his church leading many local missionary projects. He had a love for gospel music and enjoyed playing guitar. Chris was proud of owning his dream vehicle, a classic yellow corvette. He liked fishing, John Deere tractors, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Chris married Kathy (Richards) George on July 14, 2012, who survives. He is also survived by his parents, Sammy and Zula George; children: James George (Rina), Clarissa George, Caleb George (Madison), and Julia George (Charles); grandchildren: Kyleigh Jones, Ezekiel McElwain, and Makenna George; brother, Jeffery George (Shannon); sister, Cynthia “Cindi” Ramirez (Sergio); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Chris was preceded in death by one brother, Richie Kinnick.

Visitation will be held from 3pm until 7pm, Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis. A Funeral Service will be held at 11am, Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Bluff Baptist Church, 1241 W Summer Ave, Indianapolis. Burial will be at Washington Park East Cemetery.
