Ryan Mitchell Morris

Ryan Mitchell Morris, 39, of Daytona Beach, FL, and formerly of Carmel, IN, passed away at his home on June 13, 2022. He was born on September 22, 1982 in Indianapolis, IN. Ryan attended Carmel High School and enlisted in the U.S. National Guard in 2001; he was honorably discharged following active duty in 2005.

Ryan was employed as a Senior Moving Coordinator with Selective Van Lines in Daytona Beach, FL. Ryan enjoyed spending his free time with his dog, Zeus at the beach. He loved sunrises and sunsets, the ocean is where Ryan found his peace.

Ryan is survived by his mother, Kimberly Hunter; step-father, Steven Hunter; father Mitchell Morris; brothers, Dustin (Whitney) Morris and Alexander Hunter; sister, Allison (Lorenzo) Domondon; nieces/nephew, Dylan Morris, Ashlyn Morris, Kenzie Morris and Dorothy Domondon.  Ryan is also survived by his beloved grandmother, JoAnn Martz; step-grandmother, Patricia Martz; and aunts and uncles, George Martz Jr., Susie (Jim) Hansen, Steve (Teresa) Martz, Dennis Martz, Chris Martz, Mike Hunter, Richard Hunter, Diana Redden, David (Edie) Hunter, Mary (Rick) Geswein, Greg (Twana) Hunter, Veronica (Wayne) Alstott; Chuck (Heather) Morris, Sue Morris; along with dozens of cousins that he loved dearly.

Ryan was preceded in death by his grandparents, George E. Martz, Charles Morris, Willa Morris, Thomas Hunter, Lucille Hunter; and uncle, Daniel Welsh.

A gathering to celebrate Ryan’s life will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 1-3pm at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite) with a memorial service at 3pm.  Friends are welcome to join the family for services virtually by clicking HERE.  Ryan will be laid to rest in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date.  Ryan loved animals. In his memory, donations are encouraged to the Hamilton County Humane Society or NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) Indiana Chapter.
