Ryan W. Farrell

Ryan William Farrell, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born July 2, 1976 In Minneapolis, MN, the son of William and Maureen Farrell. He was a graduate of Carmel High School and Purdue University.

Ryan’s greatest joys in life were his many friends and his love of Minnesota sports, including the Vikings, Twins, the Wild, and the Gophers. Ryan enjoyed traveling with friends, and among his favorite trips were Montreal, Thailand, Costa Rica, and Brazil. He was passionate about hockey and loved playing in the Fishers Adult Hockey League and especially with his teammates on the Z-Stars. Ryan was a very kind, sensitive, loving person and if you were one of his friends, you were lucky indeed.

Ryan originally started at Roche Diagnostics in September of 2007 as a scientist in the Research and Development Labs where he worked for over 10 years and was then hired into the Quality Control Labs in 2019. He was a reliable and hard working member of the team and often took on many additional responsibilities, leading by example to make a positive impact. He was loved and respected at Roche.

Ryan is survived by his mother, Maureen, father, William, sister, Jennifer (David), brother Michael (Megan) and brother Patrick (Iceseas) and nephews Jack, Alex, Luke, Rory, and Carrick. He also had several aunts, uncles, and cousins in Minnesota.

A service celebrating Ryan’s life will be held on Saturday, January 11 at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel. Family and friends are invited to gather for the viewing from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 3pm..

Ryan was a great lover of animals and rescued many (Bart, Eddie, Steamboat Willy, Bob, Sully Bear, Larry, and Gary). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ryan’s name to the ASPCA.
