Ruth Sipe

Ruth G. Sipe, 95, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 28, 2019. She retired after many years of dedicated service from Ben Davis High School as a teacher’s aide. Ruth loved her family most of all and will be missed sorely by all of the lives she has touched. Ruth is survived by her children, John G. Sipe (Caroline) of Brownsburg, IN, Kyle A. Simms (Joseph) of Mt. Vernon, AL, Sara L. Newton of Suquamish, WA; her brother, Dale Fancher (Patty) of St. Louis, MO; her grandchildren, Jason J. Sipe (Cathy), Jacob Sipe (Nicki), Justin Sipe (Danielle), Mary Catherine  Stockwell (Brady), Shelby Claire Humphrey (Jared), Alex Sipe, Kevin Sipe, Karl Allen Miller, Jennifer Burris, Holly Mckenna (Dave, deceased), Karrie Henson (Jeremy) Thomas Newton, and Katie Newton; and great-grandchildren, Findley Bryant Henson, Bridget Laurel Henson, Jack David Mckenna, Brody Matthew Mckenna, Justice Dow Stockwell, Avery Hanna Stockwell, and Grace Wenyi Sipe. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, John and Hazel Fancher; her husband, John Lee Sipe; her children, Frank E. Sipe, Jerry E. Sipe, Karen L. Sipe, Joseph M. Sipe; siblings, Dick Fancher, Dorothy Fancher, Bud (Gertrude) Fancher, Harold “Sonny” Fancher, William (Martha) Fancher; and her grandchildren, Evan Sipe and John “Scottie” Scott Miller III. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019 from 4-8PM at Flanner Buchanan—Floral Park, 425 N Holt Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46222. A service honoring both Ruth and her daughter, Karen L. Sipe, 64, of Atlanta, GA who passed away on July 11th, 2019, will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11AM with visitation one hour prior.
