Ruth Fern Redd, 76, of Beech Grove, Indiana passed away September 30, 2020

Born and raised in Indiana, Ruth attended Harry E. Wood High School. She met the love of her life, Robert Redd, on the dancefloor at Knot Hair Lounge in 1981. It was love at first sight for the pair. They married just a few years later on November 15, 1985. They spent 39 beautiful years together; Ruth and Bob remain deeply in love at the time of her passing. Ruth had a special zest for life, she enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, and going to the casino. She loved people watching, collecting porcelain dolls and elephants, but she especially loved her family. She was an amazing grandmother, mother, wife, and friend to all she met. Her personality could light up a room; her spunky, silly sense of humor, and sarcasm were one of a kind and will be missed by all she met. Peace can be found in knowing Ruth was a Godly woman, she knew and loved the Lord, and we will see her again one day.

Family and friends are welcome to visit Monday, October 5 from 10-1 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Floral Park. Services will take place at 1 PM. She will be inurned at Floral Park Cemetery at a later date.  Please consider making a donation to the American Cancer Society in Ruth’s memory.
