Ruth Crystal Pinkston

Ruth Pinkston, 89, of Cloverdale, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on November 21, 2020. She was born in Franklin, Indiana on January 17, 1931, to the late Raymond Foist and Lillian Burbidge.

In 1946, she married the love of her life, Leon Pinkston, and together they started their family in Indianapolis. Ruth was a dedicated mother and loved caring for her children as well as the children in her community. Through her work as a cook for Indianapolis Public Schools she was able for minister and care for many children in the Indianapolis area.

After her retirement, she moved to Florida where she enjoyed the sunshine for several years before returning to Indiana and resided has in Cloverdale with her son for the last 15 years.

Ruth is survived by her children, Greg Pinkston and Brenda Wilson; grandchildren, Elissa Burgess, Lee Pinkston, and Crystal Pinkston; several great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and sister, Lettie Jo Garrafalo.
