Ruth Ann Truett Penrod
77 of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on February 2, 2023. Ruth was born on December 12, 1945, in Sikeston, Missouri. to the late Lester Truett and Sarah Juanita Mayek. She was a retired Classroom Assistant for Indianapolis Public Schools 67 and 87. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Saundra Boyd and Debbie Runke and her parents. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Penrod, children, Terry Penrod and Kevin (Lenna) Penrod, sisters, Teresia (Jim) Angelroth and Cindy (Jerry) Mayek; brothers, Gregory and Gerald Mayek; grandchildren, Terry Jr., Megan, Joshua (Katie), Sarah, and Hannah Penrod, great grandchildren, Jackson, Alexander, Logan, and Emery Penrod and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 4 pm to 8 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park. Funeral service will be Friday, February 10, 2023, at 10 am at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
