Russell K. Haines

84, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on June 10, 2021.  Russell was born on July 12, 1936 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Harlan and Kathleen Haines.  He was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School.  He was a Production Supervisor for Queens Group.  He was an Army Veteran and a longtime member of Tuxedo Park Baptist Church and member of the American Legion.  He helped develop the Indianapolis Olympians Wheelchair Basketball Team.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Patsy Haines and sons, William Gene Goodyear and Billy L. McWhirter.  He is survived by his children, Tammy Goodyear and Mark Goodyear; siblings, Freida Thorton, Robert (Mary) Haines and Harold Haines; companion, Beth Sullivan; daughter-in-law, Velaina McWhirter and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 4 to 8 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park.  Services will be Friday, June 18, 2021 at 10 am at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park.  Entombment will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Tuxedo Park Baptist Church.
