Ruby was very proud of the work she did for her country. Ruby retired at the young age of 57 with a great deal from General Motors. For the next 30 years she had the time to do what she wanted. Ruby volunteered at St. Vincent hospital for many years. She learned to play golf after taking lessons and joined a group that played every week. She took many vacations at beaches and other places with family and friends, along with many shopping trips with her buddies and lots of lunches. Ruby was a Christian woman. She attended church faithfully at Ben Davis Christian Church. She will be remembered for her cheerful smile and kind heart, reported by many. Ruby walked peacefully through 88 years into heaven. She left us with permission, free of the struggle of illness. Our family wishes to thank the staff at Indiana University Hospitals and her many doctors.
