Royce A. Neel

Royce A. Neel of Indianapolis died on September 18, 2020 at the age of 76 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born December 12, 1943 in Tompkinsville, KY to the late Roy T. Blythe and Bertha Lucille Jeffers.

She retired after 37 years of service to RCA.  She spent the next 9 years as a bus driver for the Franklin Township Schools.

She was always on the go. Her hobbies included bingo, euchre, softball, bowling and horseshoes with her family. She enjoyed family vacations to Dale Hollow Lake on their houseboat.

She is survived by her children Roy E. Neel (Teresa) and Tina M. Velez; grandchildren Kristina M. Pacanowski, Jessica D. Neel (Matthew), Tyler Scott Velez (Amber), Jeremiah M. Neel (Madison), and Hunter William Velez; great-grandchildren Matthew, Myah, Ruby, Ashton, Lilly, and Nora; sisters Joyce Valentine (Richard Sanders), Linda Bunner (Steve), Sherrill Flowers (Ken), Terri Holt (Robert Cullen), and Mary Vega; and brothers Roger Blythe (Patty Morales), Thomas Henson (Dawn Fenley), James Henson (Toni), and Michael Henson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edward E. Neel III and her son William Dean Neel.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 24 from 4 to 8 PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St, Indianapolis.  Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 25 at 12 PM with visitation 11 AM until the time of service.  She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
