Roy L Caine

Roy Lee Caine, 87, of Greenwood, passed away November 12^th, 2022. He was born in Indianapolis September 7^th, 1935, to parents Garnet and Lenora (Pennycuff) Caine.

Roy graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in 1953.

On February 4^th, 1956, he married the love of his life, Hettie Cook. They shared 66 wonderful years together.

Roy was employed at Eli Lilly for over 40 years before retiring.

He and Hettie were valued members of Burge Terrace Baptist Church for over 50 years.

Roy was a loving, hardworking man. He enjoyed being a referee for a basketball league and always made time to watch sports. He participated on a bowling league with his son, and always loved playing cards with Hettie and friends. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Roy is survived by his wife, Hettie; his children Kerry and Vickie Caine; grandchildren Katrina (Michael) Maloney, and Garrett Savage-Caine; and great-grandchildren Alaya Higginbotham and Natalie Maloney.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Eugene and Linda.

Roy’s visitation will be Saturday, November 19^th at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, from 11-1pm. His funeral will begin at 1pm. Roy will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
