Reflection of Life
Rosie Lee Davis was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 8, 1941 to the late Willie and Claude Davis. She was the second to the youngest of (7) children.
A native of Dayton, Ohio She attended Central Elementary School in Dayton, Ohio where she flourished in sports. She also attended Dunbar High School in Dayton, Ohio, were she was a member of the swim team and won the city championship, she successfully graduated with her high school diploma.
Rosie Lee Davis married Cody Stewart and out of that union there were three boys, Michael D. Stewart, Kevin L. Stewart and Christopher Stewart. After his death, Rosie married Howell D, Boyd and out of that union there were four children. Howard D. Boyd, Curtis Boyd, Evevee Boyd and Janel Boyd. The family was complete.
Rosie Lee Boyd was a member of Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio where
she accepted Christ as a young child. She was an active member teaching Sunday school classes while attending Seminary School. It was evident that she loved the Lord. She loved kids and was considered the neighborhood mom. Later in life she became a Jehovah Witness where she served in the kingdom hall, and she eventually moved to Indianapolis Indiana where she resided until God called her home.
Rosie Lee Boyd was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Claude Davis; her sisters, Ines Dorsey, Lela Mae Anderson, Mary Francis Kittrell and Betty Davis and her Brother Willie Davis.
Rosie Lee Boyd leaves to cherish her memory which is brother, John Davis, seven children (5) Sons: Michael Davis Stewart, Kevin Lee Stewart (wife Stephane); Christopher Stewart (Brenda), Howard D. Boyd (wife Lawanda); Curtis Boyd. (2) Daughters: Evevee Boyd William and Janel Boyd. (20) Grandchildren
