Rosemary Alice (Dworak) Waters of Carmel passed away on March 24, 2025, at the age of 72, after a short illness. She was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on November 3, 1952, to Henry and Mary (Jenkins) Dworak. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Joe Dworak.
Rosemary married Paxton Waters on July 19, 1974, and they enjoyed over 50 years of companionship, living in Oklahoma, Texas, and Colorado before settling in Carmel 35 years ago.
Rosemary explored many career paths, including accountant, popcorn shop owner, and business manager for Paxton’s architecture practice. However, her true passion was promoting the arts and volunteering in Carmel. Her life was rich and diverse, and she was known for her kindness and charm.
She is survived by her husband, Paxton; her son, Ben; her brother, John Dworak; and her dog, Oscar.
A memorial gathering will be held on April 5 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., immediately followed by a memorial service at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, located at 325 E. Carmel Dr.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice.
