Rosemary Marfurt passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 6, 2016. She lived her life fully and was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and mother in law. As a 19 year old girl, she was excited to marry her high school sweetheart, Richard, who was soon to be shipped to New Guinea to serve in the Army. He was given two months leave in Spokane Washington,, so Rosemary sold her wedding dress for a train ticket to marry him there, having never been outside of Buffalo, New York. She returned, carrying their first daughter, Margie, (Bill), followed by Richard Jr., Kurt (Stephanie), Carl (Karen), Alan (Lisa), Lisa (Steve), Andy (Mindy), and Ann (Bob).
In her life, Rosemary additionally grew to love 16 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, her wonderful friends, her faithful and unconditionally loving canine companion Wilson and her stunningly beautiful gardens. She will be loved and missed forever. In lieu of flowers, please say a prayer and plant a flower in your own garden in our Rosemary's memory.
A Celebration of Rosemary’s life will be held in the New Year, so family and friends can gather. Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.flannerbuchanan.com. Arrangements were entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan – Carmel.
