Rosemary Blacker peacefully passed away on March 7th, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones.

Rosemary was born on May 12th, 1937 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Raymond and Adela Childers. Rosemary was the oldest of 9 siblings. Rosemary (also known as “Toogie”) spent 87 years spreading love, joy, sarcasm, and sass to any and all around her.

Rosemary married Jim Blacker, the love of her life, in 1976. She would always talk about all of the fun, late night shopping trips they would take together. Rosemary worked as a retail associate at Target for 15+ years. She found happiness in helping others, whether at work or in her everyday life.

Rosemary is survived by her grandchildren Hannah Stoakes (Alex Stoakes), Kenneth Mahurin Jr., Adela Mahurin and Sophia Mahurin as well as her great grandchildren Oliver, Olivia, and Luna.

Rosemary is preceded in death by her son Kenneth Mahurin, her husband James Blacker, her mother Adela Childers, her father Raymond Childers, her brother Jerry Childers, her brother Ronald Childers and her sister Janet Sue Childers.
