Mrs. Roseann Pullins, age 63, was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, to James and Florence Hicks on September 27, 1960. Her early education was from Indianapolis Public Schools and Crispus Attucks High School. Roseann is preceded in death by her father, James Hicks, and sister, Carol Hicks.
Sis. Roseann Pullins was a faithful member of Victory Tabernacle, where she was baptized in Jesus Name and Received the Holy Ghost in 1990. Sis. Roseann Pullins served faithfully as Pastor Aid, on the Usher Board, and wherever she could be of help until her health began to fail. Sis. Roseann Pullins lived out loud the scripture, “Whatsoever your hands find to do, do it with all your might as unto the Lord.” (Eccl. 9:10)
On July 12, 2008, Roseann was joined in Holy Matrimony to Elzie Wayne Pullins. “Pullins” as she affectionately called him, truly took his vows to heart. Day one of her diagnosis until she took her last breath, Pullins was right by her side, caring for her in every way. He’d often say to all who came to visit, “That’s a Good Woman to Me”. Roseann and Pullins celebrated their 16th Wedding Anniversary 11 days prior to her transition into Eternity.
Roseann was the proud mother of four children. “My Sweet Pamala” as she affectionately called her only daughter. “Ken, Shaun, and Lil Larry” as you can still hear her voice as she called her sons’ names in a run-on sentence! Roseann’s love for her children knew no bounds. She worked tirelessly to make sure their needs were met, and she didn’t hold back on giving them plenty of their wants, and/or her wants for them.
Roseann dearly loved her grandchildren, and she shared herself with all that was in her orbit. “Granny” was her endearing title to all her little ones. One of her final wishes was that she lived to see her last grandson born into this world. God graciously honored her request and on April 24, 2024, Kamari An’drose (Granny’s Namesake) was born. On her sickbed, she’d repeatedly say, “Pamala I want to see my baby” and Pamala would take him over for her to lay her eyes on him and touch his hands and feet.
Roseann was a dedicated employee in the Private Sector, caring for the home needs of the well-known Mr. & Mrs. Cohn and Mr. & Mrs. Feigenbaum for 30+ years. They truly loved “Rose” and treated her like a member of their respective families. Through the years of time grew a bond of friendship, and the employer/employee relationship was dissolved.
