Roseann Packer, 77, passed away in Key West, Florida, on October 7, 2020. She was born on August 12, 1943, to the late Charles and Ruth DeVault in Indianapolis, IN.
Roseann loved science fiction and was a member of the Circle of Janus and Starbase Indy fan clubs. She enjoyed crocheting and decorating her house for the holidays. Those who know Roseann, know that she loved to travel and was always ready for an adventure.
Roseann retired from Ft. Ben DFAS, where she enjoyed a successful career as a computer programmer. She also worked for Gas America and Ricoh. In her retirement years, she enjoyed driving the train around Castleton Square Mall.
Roseann is survived by her three children, Veronica Byers (Ron), Suzanne Cole (John), and Michael Packer (Maura Buckley), and her three grandchildren, Kayla, Carley, and Lilly.
If you choose to send flowers, mums would be appreciated since Roseann loved mums and fall is in full swing. In lieu of flowers, you can make donations to Cats Haven (Catshaven.org).
Visitation for Roseann will be Friday, October 16th, 2020, from 10am-12pm. Her funeral will follow at 12pm, all at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington St. Indianapolis, 46229. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
