Rosa Agnes Breland

Rosa Agnes Breland, 83, of Seymour, Missouri, died Saturday April 21^st, 2018.

Rosa was born to the late Frank and Edna Shortridge, May 30^th, 1934, in Richmond, Virginia.  She married Levi Breland in 1954, and they lived together in Indianapolis, Indiana before relocating to Seymour, Missouri in 2011.

Rosa was an active member of First Baptist Church of Seymour, and previously Castleview Church of Indianapolis, Indiana.

She is survived by three children: Jeff Breland of Seymour, Missouri; Greg Breland of Irvine, California, and Matt Breland of Ozark, Missouri. Rosa is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Levi and Rosa had a tradition that when at lunch, they would anonymously purchase the meal of someone that appeared in need, a member of military service, an elderly couple, or those with disabilities. Watching from afar, they would receive great enjoyment in watching their reaction and knowing they knew nothing of who provided this kind gesture.

The family is requesting that in lieu of providing flowers for the services, those interested parties carry on Levi’s and Rosa’s tradition of anonymously helping out others.

A time of Sharing Memories will be held at Levi and Rosa’s crypt on Saturday, June 9^th at 10:30am at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East Cemetery, 10612 E. Washington St, Indianapolis for family and close friends.  A life celebration service will be held for Lee and Rosa at Castleview Church, 8601 Hague Rd, Indianapolis on Saturday June 9th at 3:30pm with dinner following at 5pm.
