Ronnie Gene McDonough, Jr. 49 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away October 29, 2022. He was born on April 16, 1973, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Ronnie G. and Charlotte (Carlton) McDonough, Sr. Ronnie was a Carpenter for many years. He enjoyed and was quite good at drawing, bowling, watching most any sports, and Break Dancing. He loved being with and spending time with his family and was a wonderful father and was a great “Poppy” to his grandchildren. He and his grandson were best friends. Ronnie had a huge heart, and even though he didn’t have much to give he was always very generous and gave. His smile was one that could light up an arena and not just a room. Ronnie was quite the jokester and was known for his jokes and had the ability to a that perfect “comeback” for anything you had to say. He was very caring and made extra efforts no matter what the holiday may be, he would always call and make you feel special. He was loved by so many and will be dearly missed. Ronnie is survived by his daughter, his “baby girl,” Haley (Adam DeVol) McDonough, his grandchildren, Camden VanWye, Remington DeVol, his mother, Charlotte McDonough, his sister, Rhonda J. (Brian) Baker, and a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Ronnie Gene McDonough, Sr. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with the service there Friday November 4, 2022, at 11:00am. He will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton, Indiana. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be directed to the funeral home to help with Ronnie’s funeral expenses. The family invites you to join them after the burial at Charity Church 2700 S. Tibbs Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46241 for a time of food and fellowship with them.
