Ronnie William Adams

RONNIE WILLIAM ADAMS, age 84, passed away peacefully at home on October 10, 2024. He was born June 26, 1940 in Indianapolis to the late George and Mildred Martin Adams. Ron accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He maintained a personal relationship with the Lord throughout his life.

Ron graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelors in Business Administration. He earned several additional licenses and certifications as an appraiser, roadway Management, realtor, music and architectural drafting.

After his military career in the Army, Ron was employed by Allison’s Transmission for 30 years as a foreman and subsequently as a Fleet Service Manager and Sales. He also earned a retirement from the State of Indiana as a Roadway Manager.

Ron met Bobbie Spann at Zion Hope Baptist Church. After becoming best friends, they fell in love and were married December 5, 1989 in Reno, Nevada. Bobbie and Ron loved each other deeply; and Ron told everyone that he married an excellent life partner and soul mate.

Ron traveled extensively and loved experiencing different cultures. His passions were Jazz and Bobbie. Ron was amicable and socially confident. He took an interest in everyone he met and charmed many with his wit, caring, and knowledge of health and personal fitness. He freely gave advice on diet, exercise and finances. He had a masculine, heavy voice, and his voice and laughter could be heard by all.

Ron leaves a long legacy to be cherished by his loving wife, Bobbie Adams, one son, Marcus Adams (Beverly) of Chattanooga, TN; one daughter, Lagina Adams; two sisters, Carolyn Bacon and Nita Garnett (Winfred); and one brother, Charles Kenneth Adams.. In addition, Ron has a host of grandchildren, and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death included his parents, George and Mildred Adams, and his brothers, Gale Adams and Jerry Mann.
