Ronald Lee Medsker

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald L. Medsker, who passed on February 18, 2025, at the age of 69. Born in Indianapolis to Floyd and Pauline Medsker, Ron led a life full of love, generosity, and a fierce commitment to his family.

Ron was a dedicated and hard-working individual, spending many years as a Merchandiser for Pepsi before retiring. His strong work ethic and passion for his job earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

Outside of work, Ron was a man of the outdoors. He found great joy in fishing, boating, and hunting, activities that allowed him to connect with nature and share time with his loved ones. Those who knew Ron well can attest to his loving spirit and his natural ability to make anyone feel welcome. A true gentleman at heart, he was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back without hesitation.

Known for his stubbornness, Ron never backed down from his convictions. His strong opinions were matched only by his heart, and his family will forever remember his tenacity and determination as qualities that defined him.

Ron’s love for his family was evident in everything he did. He was married to the love of his life, Debbie, for 52 years. Together, they created a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Ron was not just a husband, but a father figure to many, offering guidance, support, and unconditional love to those who needed it most.

Ron is survived by his loving wife Debbie; his beloved children, Donald Medsker, Dustin Medsker, Ronnie Jr. (April); grandchildren, Shawn Medsker and Alyssa Medsker; siblings, Betty Jean (Medsker) Dillard, Randy Medsker, Charlotte Folkening (Doug), Marjorie Medsker (Mark Herndon); his best friend and fur baby, Jake; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Pauline (Wilson) Medsker and his siblings, James Medsker, Bill Medsker, Robert Medsker, Lois Smith, Dorothy Kingery, Reba Fay Adkins, and Ruthie Fairchild.
