Ronald L. Merrill, Sr.

Ronald L. Merrill, Sr., 77, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018.

He was born on December 18, 1940 in Indianapolis to the late Lloyd Ernest and Laura Olga (Titus) Merrill.  Ron worked for several areas businesses as he slowly acquired real estate in the Indianapolis area.  He took great pride in his properties and enjoyed being a landlord and helping people.  Ron enjoyed attending Hunter Road Bible Church and travelled all over the world, including a very memorable trip to the Holy Land.  He was so proud that his eldest son, Ronald L. Merrill, Jr. was a minister and was blessed to receive the word of God into his own heart.

Ron is survived by his sons, Ronald L. (Carolyn) Merrill, Jr. and Timothy P. Merrill; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Ron is also survived by siblings, Patricia Hone, John (Kay) Merrill and Marcella (Jim) Jackson; along with many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Lloyd Merrill, Jr. and Thomas Merrill.

Funeral services for Ron will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 1pm at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park.  Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service, also at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Baptist Tabernacle.  Friends are invited to leave online condolences for the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
