Ronald J. Curry, age 82, of Indianapolis, passed away March 7, 2018. Ronald was born on October 27, 1935 in McGehee, Arkansas to the late Dillard G. and Ruth Carolyn (Tilghmon) Curry.
Growing up in Long Beach, California, Ronald was an avid lover of music who played the trumpet. Ronald joined the United States Navy and continued his work as a musician during the Korean War. After the Navy, Ronald continued to pursue his musical career in Long Beach, where he met the love of his life – Janice.
Ronald is survived by four children; Ginger Curry, Carolyn Ketchum, Catherine Selke, and Alma Curry; his brother Larry Curry (Sally); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents Dillard and Carolyn, sister Kitty Bell, wife Janice Curry, son Richard Curry, and son-in-law Bob Ketchum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wheeler Mission, 205 East New York Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Monday, March 12th, 2018 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East with funeral services beginning at 3 p.m. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery.
