Ronald George Zuk passed away on January 27, 2020 at the age of 82. Ronald was born in Chicago, IL on March 19, 1937 the son of a Russian immigrants, George Zuk and Sue (Kopsky) Zuk. He graduated from George Rogers Clark High School, where he was a tremendous athlete playing three sports: baseball, basketball and football. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University, where he pledged Sigma Phi Epsilon and remained involved in their Alumni Association throughout his life.
Following graduation, Ronald worked for Texaco for many years before leaving to work for Xerox as a Sales Manager. He retired from Xerox after ___ years. His accomplishments at work earned him several performance awards that allowed he and his wife, Diane, to enjoy traveling. The couple especially enjoyed their travels to Marco Island, FL where they owned time share property.
Ronald was a devout Catholic with a strong faith. He was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He volunteered his time at the St. Vincent de Paul Society food pantry; the Republican Party during elections; and loved to organize events and parties for the various organizations he supported, including the Zionsville Aqua Swim Club and his well-known, Brat Parties. Ronald loved music, especially Frank Sinatra. In his adulthood, his love of sports expanded to a love for playing tennis.
Ronald was a true family man and loved “his girls” like none other. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Diane Zuk, for 56 years until her passing on November 16, 2019. As a father, he adored his girls and supported them in anything they set out to do. He was their biggest cheerleader and greatest fan!
Ronald was preceded in death by his loving wife, Diane Lee (May) Zuk; as well as his parents, George Zuk and Sue Zuk Pluta.
Left to cherish his memory are his three daughters: Lisa Masri (Fouad), Kristin Ludwig (Robert) and Nicole Zuk; grandchildren: Justin and Michaela Masri and Jordyn and Aaron Ludwig; as well as many other extended family members and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30am, Saturday, February 22, 2020 at St. Pius X Catholic Church (7200 Sarto Drive, Indianapolis), where friends may call from 10:30am until the mass time. Inurnment will follow services in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
