Ronald Clay Russell, 78, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on March 29, 2022. He was born in Greenbrier, Alabama on February 27, 1944, to the late Jessie Andrew and Leona M. (Rogers) Russell.
Ronald served proudly his country in both the US Air Force and US Army. After his military service he worked in the Semi-Truck business, primarily as a mechanic, before retiring. Ronald enjoyed time with his family, especially the grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling, fishing, being a huge jokester, and going to the casinos. He was Lifetime Legionnaire of the American Legion Post #64. Ronald was loved by so many and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jean (Quinn) Russell, his children, David (Barbara) Russell, Cindy Wynn and Ron Russell Jr., 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and his brothers, Richard Russell, Barry Russell, and Larry Russell. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter Sheila Davis (Russell) and 8 of his siblings.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township with the Funeral Service on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest at Fairfield Friend Cemetery in Camby, Indiana.
