Roger Patrick Swinford

Roger Patrick Swinford, age 73 of Indianapolis passed away on April 27, 2016. Roger graduated from Howe High School and attended Indiana University and Ball State University. He then served four years in the US Navy. He retired from the Federal Aviation Administration after 35 years of service. He loved fishing and all sports including the Chicago Cubs and the New York Yankees but IU sports was at the top of his list.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 22 years, Peggy Swinford, his children, Steven (Michelle) Swinford and Michael Swinford, his step-children, Melinda (Roger) Tull and Richard (DeAnn) Morris, sister, Patricia Nonweiler, brother, Gordon Vogel and grandchildren, Sean, Jordan, Madison, Alexis, Caitlyn and Nicholas.

Friends may visit from 11 AM until the service at 1 PM Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis.
