Roberta Ann Stroup

Roberta Ann Stroup, age 63, of Indianapolis, died on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at her home.  She was born on June 17, 1955 in Lowell, MA to the late William and Ruth (Hannus) Webster.

She ran a small childcare center from her home for many years and each child became an extended part of her family.  Several of those children are grown and have started their own families but they still refer to Roberta as “Auntie Robby”.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Daniel W. Stroup of Indianapolis; children, Jason (Amy) Stroup of Colorado Springs, CO, Jelena (Brian) Blocker of Lake Station, IN and Kari Stroup of Indianapolis.  Eight grandchildren – Mathew, David, Lucas, Samuel and Joe Stroup, Keirin, Madison and Kolby Blocker.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be a memorial service with a reception to follow on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at College Park Church North Indy, 2606 W. 96^th Street, Indianapolis.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations in Roberta’s memory be made to the general scholarship fund at Heritage Christian School or The Oaks Academy.  Arrangements were entrusted to Flanner Buchanan – Market Street.
