Robert S. Mattox, 92, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed on April 23, 2020
Robert was born on January 6, 1928 in Cincinnati Ohio to the Late Virgil and Irma (Straehley) Mattox. His family moved to Indianapolis shortly thereafter, and he was a graduate of Broad Ripple High School. He was a member of the American Legion, Third Christian Church and later the Allisonville Christian Church. Robert loved to travel (especially to Gulf Shores), build model ships, and most of all enjoyed spending time with family and friends while enjoying a fine cigar along with a double gin on the rocks with a twist. He will be greatly missed by all.
Robert is preceded in death by his wives Florence, Pat and Elizabeth, an infant son Robert, sister Virginia Peasley, and a stepson, Bob Berling.
Robert is survived by his children: Scott I. (Mieko) Mattox, Daniel J. (Cindy) Mattox, and Constance B.
