Robert Michael Dorosh, 73, of Zionsville, passed away April 23, 2023. He was born July 7, 1949, in Minneapolis, Minnesota the son of the late Michael Dorosh and Adele (L. (Willer) Dorosh.
Robert proudly and honorably served in the United States Army. He retired in 1992 as a systems analyzer for IBM. In his retirement he was able to spend time developing his hobbies. He enjoyed music and cycling, being able to keep a close eye as his new home was built and would continue to tinker in all facets including electrical and plumbing. He was a member of the American Legion Post 155 and the St. Luke’s Singles Ministry. He will be remembered for his huge heart, giving nature, and for his infamous overalls. “Gotta Love Bob”
He survived by his loving partner, Marsha Huser; sister, Kathleen Mackey; brother, Michael Dorosh; uncle, Rev. Gary (Dr. Suzanne Gehl) Erickson; nephew, Ryan Mackey; niece, Kerry Griffith and her children, Rogue and Corra Griffith; niece, Amy Erickson and her daughter, Aria; nephew, Nathan (Gina) Erickson and their children, Samuel, Elliot, and Harriet; and his second family, Lori (Kevin) Kot and their children, Mallory, Destiny, Amber and Corey. He was preceded in passing by a sister, Susan Erickson.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park (Prairie Waters), 4180 Westfield Road. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, Bob always felt drawn to helping the less fortunate, so next time you see someone less fortunate, give them $ in Bob’s honor. Pay It Forward.
