Robert M. Coulston, age 73, of Decatur Township passed away on April 24, 2017. He was born in Shelbyville and graduated from Southwestern High School. He worked at Allison before going to work at Ford Motor Co. where he worked for 28 years, retiring in 2004. He was a member of the UAW where he was involved with the Skilled Trades Bargaining Committee. Bob enjoyed restoring Mustangs and was involved with the Mustang Club of Indianapolis and the Mustang Club of America for over 35 years. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and camping and were members of the Noble Sams Camping Club. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and the West Newton Lodge, F&AM; #707. He also really enjoyed spending time with his grandsons.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Jane, his daughter, Christi Coulston, sisters, Judy Hammond and Sue Collins, step-brother, Larry Hasecuster and his grandsons, Gavin Fields and Logan Coulston. Calling will be from 4-7 pm, Thursday, April 27, 2017 and one hour prior to the service at 11 AM Friday at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis.
