Robert L. Hansel

Robert L. Hansel (Bob), born the 15th of August 1944, sadly passed away on the 10th of January 2023 after complications from open heart surgery. He had many passions that included; fishing, hunting, boating and cars from the 50’s. He was proud of his country and bravely stepped forward to serve as an Army SPC in the Vietnam war, but the thing he loved the most was his family. His wife Linda was not only the love of his life, but his best friend. His daughter Tonya and his grandsons Conner and Corbin were the apple of his eye.  Bob was the most loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather in the world. His wife, daughter and grandsons will miss him dearly.

“Dad, you are in our thoughts and prayers every single day. We cannot put into words how much we will miss you, but we know that you are going to a place much better than here, where you will be treated like the angel that you are.”

Bob is survived by his wife, Linda Hansel, daughter, Tonya Wood (Brad Wood), grandsons, Conner Cunningham and Corbin Cunningham, sister, Sheila Parrott, brothers, Rick Hansel, Ben Hansel. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Harriett Hansel, and brother John Hansel.

Visitation for Bob will be held at 11:00am, followed by the funeral at 12:00pm on the 18^th of January 2023 at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd Indianapolis, IN 46250.  Graveside service will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
