Robert Kern

Robert W. "Bob" Kern, 87, passed away September 7th, 2024. He was born October 29, 1936, in Bedford Indiana to Wayne D. Kern (Heltonville,IN) and Mae Louise (Sheets) Kern (Jasonville, IN). 

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Max Eugene Kern and William Harold Kern. His wife Jo Ann (Atwood) Kern; his daughters Karen Lowell and Tammy Miller.

Bob is survived by his daughter Kathie Cowen; sons Matthew (Jill) Kern, Joseph (Breann) Kern; step-children Terry (Tim) Mayer, Tim Morgan, Roger Smith, Michael Miller, Susan (Jack) Stout and Gregory Smith. His brothers Carl C. (Patricia) of Greenwood IN and Richard (Becki) of Tuscon, AZ. His sisters Karen (Charles) Sedan, Norman IN and Sandra Cozby of Chardon OH. 

He was also survived by his best friend and dear companion Mary Walden and her family.

A visitation will be held 3pm, Friday the 13th at Lawrence Church of God. Additional visitation will be held 11-1pm Saturday the 14th at Lawrence Church of God, funeral service to follow at 1pm. Bob will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery immediately following.
