Robert J Schell

May 1, 1979 — February 7, 2020

Indianapolis, IN

Robert J. Schell was born on Tuesday, May 1st, 1979. The firstborn son and second child of proud parents, Elizabeth and Melvin, Robert elicited smiles from all blessed by his illustrious presence.

Soon after his birth, those heartfelt smiles turned to chuckles and then to gut-busting laughter as his sense of humor developed.   His utter hilarity kept us all grinning and giggling, and the only thing more resound than the way Robert laughed is the way he loved.

Robert’s gentle, loving nature was apparent early in his Life and only deepened with the passing of time. Robert loved. His love and devotion were genuine and unconditional. If he loved you, he loved you. He loved You. He loved his Family, Friends, Neighbors. He Loved Us All. He loved us immeasurably and wholeheartedly. Yet, more than he loved us, Robert loved God. Robert’s passion and love for the Lord is unsurpassable. He loved to serve God and the World’s people, and he will continue to serve by inspiring each of us.

In addition to laughing and loving, Robert excelled at so much. MMA fighter, poet, songwriter, creator, inventor, landscaper, humanitarian, motivational speaker, magician, giver, nature lover, fisherman, comedian, World’s Best biscuits and gravy maker. Loyal to a fault, Robert was a protector, a provider, a mentor. He was strong, patient, wise, and known for having “Mind of Genius” and the biggest heart ever.

Welcoming Robert at the pearly gates were Jesus, Mother Mary, Robert’s Angels and Spirit Guide, stepfather Joseph R. Sanders, Aunt Denise Arthur, Uncle James Cox, long-time friend Jose Padilla, Grandparents Edith & Willie Lowhorn, Diane & Doug Langley, and Melvin Schell, Sr., among others.

On Earth, mourning this monumental loss are his parents, Elizabeth Sanders and Melvin Schell his Children, Connor Schell and Serenity Schell; his GrandMan Roman J. Schell; his Siblings: Oldest Sister beLove, Sister Rachel Mathis, Sister Analyse Schell, Only Brother John Mathis, Jr., Sister Tabitha (Schell) Maxwell, and Sister Isabella Sanders; his Nephews Jose, Torrie, Mario, Jason, Jordyn, Nevada, Wyatt, Damian, and Remington; his Nieces Jamie, Ivy, Love, Dakota, and Naomi; Grandparents J.C. & Libby Cox; spiritual mentor Brian Gerlach; Great Nephews and Great Nieces, Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.
