Robert "Bob" James Estep, 94, of Indianapolis, passed away July 20th, 2024. He was born August 22nd, 1929, to parents Clayton and Marguerite Estep.
Bob grew up in Indianapolis and attended from Arsenal Tech.
Bob married the love of his life, Jessie Evelyn (Wickliff) Estep. They shared many wonderful years together. Jessie passed away in December, 1997.
He worked as a warehouse associate for National Wine and Spirits until he retired.
Bob and Jessie were valued members of The Bible Church.
Bob was a strong, loving man with a great sense of humor. Quick with a joke or a gripe, he enjoyed teasing people and making them smile. He was very social, never knew a stranger, and loved gathering with friends and family. Bob had a passion for John Wayne and old westerns, and he was a devoted fan of WWE Smackdown. He had an impressive collection of both old cars and teddy bears.
Bob was proud of his family and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children Michael Estep (Deenna), Thomas Estep (Brenda), Diana Thompson (Wayne), and Peggy Roseberry (Rob); 14 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephew, who will mourn their uncle Bussy; and special dog, Dozer.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Jessie; his parents, his siblings, and one grandchild.
Visitation will be Thursday July 25th, from 11-1pm at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East. His funeral will begin at 1pm. He will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery.
