Robert Irving Moeller passed away on April 11, 2023, at 6:15 am. He was 93 years old.
Robert was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on November 17th, 1929, to Frieda (Grof) and William Moeller. After graduating high school, Robert joined John Hancock Insurance Agency who sent him to manage their home office in Indianapolis. While there, Robert was drafted into the US army and served at the State Department in Germany. Upon returning, he met and married his first wife Peg (Dickmeyer).
Robert was a man of faith and action. He was in the Boy Scouts of America, where he served as a troop leader and a scout master. He was dedicated to his church community, and a founding member of both Cornerstone Lutheran and Advent Lutheran church. He sang in the choir, was an elder, Sunday school teacher, and youth group leader. He was a man who loved knowledge. As such, Robert spent years researching genealogy. He collected an immense record of his ancestry for his children and grandchildren. He traveled the world, and every summer took his family of 22 to the ocean on vacation. He loved woodworking, playing games, doing puzzles, telling stories, and singing. His family will remember his soft voice, his love of clam chowder and clam cakes, his New England accent, and his love for his family.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents William and Frieda, his siblings, and first wife Peg.
He is survived by his second wife Vonda (Vahle), two daughters, Bobbi DeLaunay (Alan) and Kristi Keefe (Chris), two sons, Jeffery (Kim) and Kevin (Beverly), and his niece Pam Hayes (Jeff). He is leaving behind 12 grandchildren and 3 (soon to be 4) great-grandchildren who will treasure their time with him forever.
