Robert Henry Gaalema

88, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on May 9, 2019 in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Robert was born on May 23, 1930 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Henry and Mabel Gaalema.  He was a retired truck driver for ANR Trucking, Spector Freight and Midstate Trucking Company.  He was an Army Veteran and a member of Valley Mills Christian Church, Teamsters #135 and the American Legion.  He enjoyed golfing, boating, playing cards and eating Sunday dinner with his family.  He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra L. Morris; son, Michael Gaalema; and siblings, Mary, Ann, Chuck and Carol.  He is survived by his wife, Martha L. Gaalema; four grandchildren, Rebecca Morris, Bryan Morris, Kristina Madden and Eric Morris; six great-grandchildren and son-in-law, Ron Morris.  Visitation will be Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 4 to 8 pm and Wednesday from 10 to 11 am at Flanner Buchanan-Decatur Township.  Service will be Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 11 am at Flanner Buchanan-Decatur Township.  Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
