Robert F Parker

Robert F. Parker (83), of Camby, Indiana passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023.

Robert, fondly known as Bobby, was the son of Esther and Orla Parker. Born on February 19, 1940, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended Emmanuel High-school in Indianapolis Indiana where he was raised by his mother and loving step father, Jack Meador. Bobby was a talented automotive engineer who built show cars from the frame. He Participated in the Good Guys car show, World of Wheels, Old Metamora, National Street Rod Association and countless others with his ‘27 Model T and ‘37 Chevy Coupe. He Retired from Illinois Tool Works where he worked 30 years. He also served in the Indiana Army National guard. Bobby is remembered by his love, selflessness, and contagious smile. Most of all, Bobby loved his family, spending time fishing at Lake Melissa, and his loyal companion a sixteen year old Long Haired Dachshund, Sir Baxter or “Bubby”.

Bobby is survived by his 4 children: Melinda, Jilian, Chuck, and Jay. His 6 Grandchildren: Joseph, Crystal, Christopher Jr., Holly, Misty and Zachary. And 8 Great Grandchildren: Destiny, Christianna, Sierra, Joseph Jr., William, Andrew, Isabella and Baby Huynh.

Bobby held many titles in his life, but his favorite role was being a father and grandfather. He loved nothing more than spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Aside from his passion for cars, Bobby enjoyed to grow vegetables in his garden and share them with the people he loved. Bobby was a humble and incredibly kind man who positively impacted our community, and he will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at the Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park, 425 N. Holt Road, Indianapolis, IN 46222 on Wednesday May 17th from 4 till 8 pm.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park, 425 N Holt Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46222.

Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
