Robert E. “Painter Bob” Parish, 56, of Indianapolis passed away on January 21, 2017.
He was born March 9, 1960 in Indianapolis to Norman “Sonny” and Dorothy Parish. He attended Ben Davis High School, worked at H&H Bookbinding and other odd jobs. He owned his own painting company for the past 25 years where he was known as “Painter Bob”. He was also a member of Fleming Gardens Christian Church. He was an avid artist, and hunter. He also enjoyed Nascar. Halloween was his favorite holiday. He loved his dog Behr boy, who he lost last year. He is preceded in death by his father Norman “Sonny” Parish. Surviving to cherish his memory are his mother, Dorothy Weaver, step-mother Peg Parish, brother, Dale (Connie) Parish, sisters, Cindy Pickett and Tootie (Steve) Griffith, many nieces, nephews and extended family.
His cancer was so great that God took him back and gave him a new set of wings.
Friends may visit from 2-6 PM Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis and the celebration of his life being at 11 AM Monday at Flanner and Buchanan.
