Robert W. Draper of Westfield, IN passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 30. Robert was born in Lawrenceburg, IN on September 21, 1994 to parents David Draper and Leanne Holt. Robert was employed at Indiana Oxygen from 2014 to 2024. Robert graduated from Westfield High School in 2013 and attended IUPUI where he was a member and Vice President of Delta Sigma Phi.
Robert had an immense love for family and friends. He cherished every opportunity to get together for cookouts, birthdays or “just because”. Robert had an incredible love of animals. He was the “Amazing Dogfather” to Shaia. Robert was always willing to help anyone and never expected anything in return. He loved all types of music, movies, and sports. Robert idolized Kobe Bryant. He was the ultimate teammate in sports, school, work and life. From his quirky laugh to his massive smile and his dry sense of humor, Robert brought light to every life he touched.
Robert is survived by his parents, David Draper and Leanne Holt, grandmother Paula (Mimi) McIntosh); Aunts and Uncles: Vaughn and Sharon Cooey, Jerry and Kim McIntosh, Daniel McIntosh, Darrell and Tressa Herron, Linda Draper, Donna Buck, Shelia and Bob Armbruster and Betty Cole. Cousins: Jordan (Ashley) Cooey, Melissa (Ray) Lucies, David Peelman and several others. He is also survived by his life long best friend and brother Matt Kaim and his beloved dogs: Shaia, Kenzie and Ellie. He was preceded in death by grandfathers Larry (Papa) McIntosh and Robert Draper, and Richie McIntosh (Uncle).
In lieu of flowers please direct memorial donations to the family which will be evenly distributed between the various animal rescue groups that Robert was passionate about.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 28, 2024 from 12:00pm until 4:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Hamilton Memorial Park - Prairie Waters (4180 Westfield Road, Westfield, IN). An open sharing of memories will begin at 3:00pm. Please feel free to dress casual as anyone who knew Robert understood that was his preferred style.
