Robert Denoon

Robert DeNoon, 88, of Indianapolis passed away on August 3, 2018.

Robert was born on May 14, 1930 to the late Freda Aileen and Robert Elias DeNoon in Indianapolis, IN. He graduated from Howe High School, received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana Central and went on to complete his master’s degree at DePauw University. He honorably served his county in the United States Army and upon his return home he married his longtime sweetheart, Shirley. He served as Worshipful Master at the Brookside Masonic Lodge and retired from Naval Avionics where he worked as a materials engineer. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of over 60 years, Shirley J. DeNoon; daughter, DeDe Bonhard (Paul); sister, Barbara DeNoon Oberthur; brother, Donald DeNoon, sister-in-law, Shirley DeNoon; many nieces and nephews and friends. Robert was preceded in death by his son, James Robert DeNoon and brother, Thomas DeNoon.

A funeral service will be 11:00am on Monday, August 13, 2018 with visitation from 1:00-4:00pm on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East. He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
