Robert D. Fitch, 88, of Brownsburg, IN, passed away October 16, 2019. Bob was born on September 12, 1931, to the late Glen C. and Lulu E. Fitch in Norfolk, Nebraska.
Bob went on to serve in the US Army and also took the time to complete trade school classes to further his education. Bob became a successful business owner in garage door installations. He not only served the Indianapolis area, but he also worked in nearing states and in custom work. He was an excellent provider and family man.
Bob married the love of his life, Patsy on October 7, 1977. Together they settled down and made Indianapolis their home.
Bob was a member and a Past Master of Masonic Lodge #720. He was an avid traveler and loved the nature of the west such as Montana and Colorado.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Patsy W. Fitch; children, Richard Lee Fitch of Wyoming, Alberta (Marvin) Wall of Montana, Nancy Jo Sleeper, Robert Man (Arlene) Fitch of Montana, Stephen Dwane (Sherlene) Thompson of Arizona, Myron Burt Fitch of Virginia, Phyllis May (Lynn) Slayman of Colorado, Carla (David) Perkins of Brownsburg, IN, and Mark Tyler of Indianapolis, IN; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents and step-son, Randy Tyler.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 12-2PM with a funeral service to begin at 2PM at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN.
