Robert D. “Bob” Ford, age 69, passed away July 14, after a short fight with a massive brain hemorrhage.
Bob was born in Indianapolis December 31, 1946 to Russell and Ruth (Hightower). A US Army Veteran, Bob was stationed in Okinawa during Vietnam. Bob’s later career was spent on the road as a truck driver. Bob was a passionate member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved nature, especially birds. He enjoyed music and dancing and was very happy with his satellite radio.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Sharon (Davenport), his sons Rob (Kelly) and Scott (Stacy) as well as 3 grandsons: Avery, Gavin and Jaxton.
Visitation will be held on Monday July 18, 2016 between 2 and 6 pm at the LDS Chapel, 900 E. Stop 11 Road, Indianapolis, IN, with a brief service at 6. Entombment at Washington Park North will occur at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation. Flanner and Buchanan- Washington Park North is handling arrangements.
