Robert C. Riedlinger Jr.

Robert C. Riedlinger Jr., 86 of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday May 14, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born on January 31, 1935 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Robert C. and Sarah M. Riedlinger. Robert loved country music, dancing around, and spending time outdoors. Whether camping in various places, or golfing and fishing, he loved to be out in nature. He always had a smile and never met a stranger. He enjoyed making friends with fellow residents and staff at Bloom at German Church where he received great care for the past seven and a half years.

Robert is survived by his children, Robert C. (Joy Naganuma) Riedlinger III, Michelle (John) Linn, Michael (Joey) Riedlinger, Suzanne (Tim) Allesee, Lisa (Darrell VanMeter) Riedlinger, and Cathy (Gary) Foreman; grandchildren, Brandon and Eric Linn, Kate and Lauren Allesee, and Austin VanMeter); great grandchildren, Sophia and Wade Farrell; sister, Mary (Bernie) Hall; many wonderful nieces and nephews; and step son, Mike Fox. He is preceded in passing by the mother of his children, Sherry Riedlinger; and son, James Riedlinger.

Friends and family are invited to gather from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Tuesday May 18, 2021 at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East (10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229). A funeral mass will begin at 10:30 am on Wednesday May 19, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (7243 E. 10^th St., Indianapolis, IN 46219). Memorial contributions may be made to the Cincinnati Area Senior Services (CASS) or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
