Robert "Bobby" Lee Williams Ii

Robert “Bobby” Lee Williams II of McCordsville, Indiana passed away surrounded by his loving family on September 17, 2021 at the age of 60. He was born February 10, 1961 in Indianapolis to Robert Lee Williams I and Sallie (Marion) Williams.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years Patricia R. “Patty” Williams; son Nathanial “Nathan” Williams; his parents Robert “Bob” and Sallie Williams; uncle Bill Marion (Sandy); sisters Sue Williams and Nancy Powers (David); nephew Michael Lagle (Becca) and nieces Holly and Alyse Powers.

Bobby or “Bob” loved his family dearly and lived his life with extraordinary kindness, patience, and optimism. He was quick witted and his corny puns were endless – but also part of his charm. His big heart made him an excellent dog whisperer as he loved all animals, especially his Tucker. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.

Bob was one of the lucky people who loved their work. In his younger years, he was a musician in several bands, and then lighting director with Mid-America Sound (MAS) in the music/event production industry working for his friend and mentor Kerry Darrenkamp. In recent years, he achieved his dream of acquiring MAS with his long time co-worker and business partner Jason Wells. Bob called everyone in the industry “friend.”

Bob was involved with the Boy Scouts for 15 + years participating in numerous Scout outings. He was a Troop leader and an Order of the Arrow member. It was one of Bob’s proudest moments when Nathan achieved his Eagle Scout rank.

Bob will be missed by his neighbors and friends, including his lifelong friend of over 50 years, J.D. Dudley. His other “Bros” will miss his companionship and expertise with everything from kayaking, fishing, golfing, smoking meats, and fireworks to wine tasting.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 24 from 10 AM to 12 PM with Funeral Services beginning at 12 noon at Flanner Buchanan – Geist, 7855 Cork Road, Indianapolis.
