Robert "Bob" Earnest McElroy

Robert “Bob” Earnest McElroy, born May 4th, 1933, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the beloved son of Earnest and Cecelia (Hazeldence) McElroy, passed away peacefully in his home on September 20th, 2023.   He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, James McElroy, and sister, Jeannan Keykar.  A four-decade resident of Indianapolis, Bob loved the city, enjoying its beauty, people, and the opportunities and activities it presented.

Bob served our country with dignity and honor in the United States Army, while reaching the prestigious rank of Corporal. He was a factory worker for Link-Belt and retired after 35 years.   He visited St. Monica and St. Michael Catholic Churches and enjoyed fellowship with church friends.  Bob loved spending time with family and friends, especially his loving wife.

He is survived by his beloved wife Patricia “Pat” (Niemann) McElroy of 67 years, sons, Timothy McElroy of Indianapolis, IN, and Jeffery McElroy (Tammy) of Iowa, granddaughter, Lindsay Marie McElroy; sister-n-law, Betty McElroy.
