Robert "Bob" "Cubby" W. Read

Robert “Bob” “Cubby” W. Read, 68, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away March 28, 2020. He was born on March 27, 1952 to the late Robert E. and Jayne M. Payne Read in Berwyn, IL.

Bob went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University and went on to work for Indiana State Police as a forensic chemist. As his career progressed, he went on to dedicate many years to Shimadzu as a Sales Representative, selling forensic medical equipment.

Bob was dedicated to his church, Holy Spirit at Geist, which he joined in 2015. He acted in the church as a Eucharistic Minister and a Mass Leader. He was active in his college fraternity SAE, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, where he was known as “Cubby” and kept in touch with many of his fraternity brothers over the years. He also loved to ride his Harley Davidson and spent many hours riding in the summer sun.

Bob is survived by his sister, Jayne Harstad, two nephews, and one niece. He is also survived by his friend and caregiver, Pamela (Dale) J. Wagner, and his four-legged best friend, Elvis.
