Robert “Bob” Crabb of Westfield, IN, formerly of Danville, IL passed away on November 11, 2024, at the age of 93. He was born in Ashboro, IN, on May 24, 1931, to parents Lewis and Norma (White) Crabb. Robert served four years in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree and pursued a master’s in Labor and Industrial Relations at the University of Illinois. Robert worked in Human Resources for the Department of Veteran Affairs VA Medical Center. After retiring from the VA he taught business courses at Danville Community College.
Robert was a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church in Danville where he served as an Elder.
Robert married Margaret DuBois on June 15, 1957. They spent 67 wonderful years together. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; children, Greg (Carol) Crabb of Wake Forest, NC, and Michael (Sandra) Crabb of Carmel, IN; grandchildren, Erin (Jason) Wain, Nicholas Crabb, Molly Crabb, Amanda (Jay) Beltz, Scott (Krista) Crabb, Stephen Crabb; and great-grandchildren, Miles and Grady Wain.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Kenneth and Donald Crabb, and Marilyn Fielden; and grandson, Brian Crabb.
A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church (100 N Franklin St., Danville, IL 61832) on November 23, 2024 at 1pm. Visitation will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church or a charity of choice in memory of Robert.
